Packaging distributor Rajapack UK has changed its name to RAJA UK, bringing the Bedfordshire business into line with the RAJA Group’s brand across Europe. The company said it supplies more than 43,000 UK businesses and has served the UK market since 1998.
RAJA Group was founded in France in 1954 by Rachel Marcovici and Janine Rocher, whose first names gave the company its name. The group operates in 19 European countries. RAJA UK said adopting the group name gives customers one recognisable brand across those markets.
Continuity stressed alongside rebrand
Tom Rodda, managing director of RAJA UK, said the name had changed but what customers relied on had not: the same people, the same product range and the same next-day service. He added that with peak trading only weeks away, the company had also made planning easier through a free tool that puts a figure on the cost of the busiest weeks.
The name change coincides with the launch of RAJA UK’s free Prepare for Peak tool. According to the company, it helps businesses estimate what peak will cost their packing operation and what they could save ahead of Black Friday on 27 November.
How the planning tool works
Users choose their industry to see how far orders typically rise during peak. The tool draws on benchmarks that blend Office for National Statistics retail data with RAJA order data from 2023 to 2025. Users then enter their own figures, such as the number of parcels packed per day and the number of people packing.
RAJA UK described the result as an illustrative estimate rather than a quote. The tool is therefore a planning aid, not a binding price or a guarantee of savings. Its usefulness depends on the figures entered by the user and the benchmark assumptions behind the estimate.
The estimator’s benchmarks come from two sources: official retail statistics and the distributor’s own order history over three years. That combination is intended to give users a reference point before they substitute their own operating figures.
RAJA UK’s statement addresses continuity directly: the people, product range and next-day service are unchanged. Those are the elements the managing director highlighted when explaining what customers rely on.
The rebrand and the estimator arrive as businesses prepare for the year’s busiest trading period. For RAJA UK, the change is intended to present a single identity across the group’s European footprint while preserving the local operation described by its managing director.
Packaging distributors support customers that need dependable stock and delivery schedules, especially when order volumes climb. RAJA UK’s announcement emphasises continuity in people, range and next-day service, alongside a free way for customers to assess peak costs before finalising their plans.
